growth

Sometimes I feel like I'm growing too fast in one area and then too slow in another. But I know I'm where I'm suppose to be, and I'm going to keep moving forward. :]

A process drawing for a side-project and an independent study piece. I've been working on my oils. :[]

two new pieces

I haven't posted in a while. However, I have much more to show now. Here are two pieces for my graphic essay class. I'm pretty excited about both. I was striving for high emotional content with these illustrations. Any feedback is appreciated. :]

and uhhhh I have some new pictures (O_o)

To be consistent with my other post, I'll be brief. :)
I had an eventful summer at Kings Dominion, drawing caricatures. I learned a lot and cherish the new friendships made.
These pictures are for my concept art class. The assignment is to create character designs for "Serenity." I'd like to rework some of them.
Comments? :}

here's the product

The last post was preparation. This post is the project. The assignment was to redesign a listed person/ character. The changes I made weren't huge. Of the buntline specials, I'm not sure if Wyatt Earp had one two or none. In this piece there are two.

mmmmblooooooog

Now I have a blog like my friends. Yaaaaay. Where shall I begin hrrrrrm? Well it's the second semester of my junior year, studying illustration at VCU. Here are some things I put in my sketchbook yesterday. I'm preparing for a digital piece and getting acquainted with the subject, Wyatt Earp. Western themes intrigue me.

I painted Mr. Earps legendary weapon, the "buntline special," from reference. A striking characteristic is the barrel, noted to be at 12 inches in length. I forgot to add the sight. (O_o)
